    I guess I should add that those students were among the best I ever had to this day and they knew him (I didn't) and they had nothing but praise for him. As I said, I did still have concerns and would have crossed that bridge when I reached it. I never reached the bridge however.

    Cannot play with them, Cannot win with them, Cannot coach with them, can not do it.


    Coeburn is a place where coaches go to die. Imagine how many times Jeff Adkins would have been to state coaching at a place like Powell Valley or Burton in the past. Hamilton has an entire culture against him. He was fawked before he ever took the job.

    Not all communities are created equal. Trying to win there is like trying to put the square peg in the round hole. If Mullins wins alot at William Campbell, it just reinforces those thoughts.

    Seems like Don Williams won in his short stay there and he did it instantly. Then they became bad again as quickly as he left. Not all coaches are created equal either.
